A Quick Glance at our Finances

For the year ending March 31, 2012

It has been said that, “it takes a village to raise a child”, and that statement couldn’t be more true than at Youville Centre. We are fortunate to have wonderful people and organizations in our “village” whose support allows us to provide innovative programming for our young mothers and their children. As we celebrate 25 years, we have so many people to thank. The list below represents some of the most significant contributions we received this year.

United Way Ottawa, for providing multi-year funding for two essential programs: Me, My Baby, Our World (parenting program), and Mental Health and Addictions Counselling.
Health Canada, Project s.t.e.p. through United Way Ottawa, for providing funds to support our on-site Addictions Counselling.
Soeurs de la Charite d’Ottawa for their steadfast support of our programs and services over the years.
Scotiabank for their consistent support each year, with a special thanks to Dennis Jackson and Theresa Smith.
Bytown Travel for supporting Youville Centre with their annual golf tournament, and to Hassa Mirchandani for being a constant supporter of our young mothers and children.
Bon Appetit Ottawafor selecting Youville Centre as one of its recipient charities from this fabulous event held each spring. Funding supports our Breakfast, Lunch and Collective Kitchen Programs.
MBNA for supporting our young mothers and children with everything from diapers and food at Christmas, to financial contributions that allow us to run our Summer School program and cover the costs of transportation for our students.
Christian Medical and Dental Society for supporting the portable Dental Clinic provided by Dr. Tom Harle and his team of volunteer dentists and hygienists.
Knights of Columbus Holy Redeemer Council #9544, for their annual golf tournament in support of our young mothers and their children.
Congregation de Notre Dame, Nova Scotia for continuing to think of our needs from year to year with their generous contributions.
We’d also like to thank some of our newest donors; EllisDon Corporation, The Co-Operators Group, and the Imperial Oil Foundation for their support this year.
We cannot leave out all of our Bursary Donors who afford our students the opportunity to pursue post-secondary education.
Also a heartfelt thanks to all of our monthly and annual donors and third party event supporters – your contributions allow us to continue to offer the myriad of essential services we provide to our young mothers and their children.
