More about our Volunteer Program…

  • Volunteers play an important role in supporting Youville Centre’s philosophy and daily operations
  •  Volunteers in the Child Development Program or Intensive Treatment Support Program must have/obtain a clear Level 3 Vulnerable Sector Check from the Police (dated within 6 mos.)
  • Volunteers in ongoing assignments participate  in a 3 month performance evaluation, and then annually moving forward. This collaborative process with Youville Centre staff also gives an opportunity for volunteers to provide feedback; we are always working to improve our programs and services and value all suggestions

UPDATE – Spring 2025

Thank you for your interest and support of Youville Centre!

Since the pandemic halted the volunteer program back in 2020, we have not resumed our onsite volunteer program to the size & extent it was in the past. We have a few regular volunteers supporting our Child Development Program and in our SWAP Shop (sorting in kind donations).

We do not have any current openings for volunteer roles in the Centre, but if our needs change, we will put a “call out” on our Facebook & Instagram social media accounts.

If you would like to stay connected to us, please follow our social media and sign up for our email list. Please email info@youvillecentre.org if you have any questions.

What our Volunteers are Saying:

Agathe, Child Development Program Volunteer
“Volunteering at Youville permits me to remain connected with an organization that is dear to my heart. Youville is a welcoming and dedicated organization. It offers young mothers and their children a variety of services that supports them on their life journeys. Interacting with the children and assisting the educators is what I enjoy the most about volunteering. I am able to continue to use my professional skills in a loveing, caring and familiar environment.”
Yolande, Child Development Program Volunteer
“I am always so happy to come into Youville, hoping I can provide some comfort, cuddles, smiles to the babies and toddlers. I also get a lot because I can support the staff whether it's helping a baby eat or sleep or doing the laundry. I am grateful that I can help the wonderful staff. What do I enjoy most about volunteering? What can I say? I love babies!!! I also love the toddlers, as I do one day in each {room}. I enjoy feeling appreciated, feeling helpful, feeling acknowledged.”
Evelyn, Child Development Program Volunteer
“I like to give of my time in various organizations and feel I am helpful in the Daffodil Room so that the ladies running the program can get time to do their planning and paperwork as well. What do I enjoy most about volunteering? Snuuggling babies!”
